1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using UmmeedCare ("the Service"), available at ummeedcare.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). The Service is operated by UmmeedLabs ("we," "our," or "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UmmeedLabs. By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or using any feature of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Service Description

UmmeedCare is a local-first productivity and routine building application that provides:

• Routine Management: Create, schedule, and track daily routines with configurable alarms and reminder notifications.
• Synthesizer Chime Profiles: 8 locally generated audio chime profiles for alarm notifications, generated entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API.
• Streaks & Gamification: Points system, streak tracking, weekly consistency calendars, and glass medal achievements.
• Biometric Analytics: Mood tracking, sleep logging, water intake, step counts, and 28-day chrono contribution matrix grids.
• Premium Theme Vault: Unlockable dark themes based on point milestones.
• Data Export: CSV and PDF export of routine schedules, check-in history, and biometric data.

All user data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB and localStorage. UmmeedCare does not operate backend servers for storing user-generated content.

3. Subscription Plans

UmmeedCare offers three subscription tiers:

Prices displayed to you may be adjusted based on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) for your country, using live exchange rates. The final charge will be in USD as processed by Paddle, converted at the prevailing exchange rate.

4. Payment Processing & Paddle

By purchasing a subscription through UmmeedCare:

• You agree to Paddle's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
• You authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected billing cycle).
• Paddle will send you email receipts and invoices for each payment.
• UmmeedLabs does not store or have access to your payment card details. All payment security is handled by Paddle in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

5. Free Plan Terms

The Free Solo plan provides:

• Up to 3 active routine reminders at any time.
• Access to the Zenith Chime alarm profile only.
• Local-first private data storage.
• Community-level support (no guaranteed response SLA).

Free users cannot access streaks, gamification, analytics charts, theme vault, CSV/PDF exports, or premium chime profiles. Attempting to use restricted features will prompt an upgrade invitation.

6. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time using any of the following methods:

• Through the subscription management link in your Paddle email receipt.
• Via the Settings page within the UmmeedCare application.
• By emailing us at hello.ummeedlabs@gmail.com with your Paddle receipt ID.

Upon cancellation:

• Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.
• After the billing period expires, your account will revert to the Free Solo plan.
• Your locally stored data will not be affected by cancellation. However, features gated behind Pro or Elite plans will become inaccessible.

7. Refunds

Please refer to our Refund Policy for complete details. In summary:

• Refund requests within 14 days of the initial subscription purchase may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Refunds are processed through Paddle and credited to your original payment method.
• Renewal charges and yearly plan partial refunds follow specific guidelines outlined in our Refund Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use UmmeedCare solely for its intended purpose as a personal and family coordination tool. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application (beyond what is permitted by law).
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law.
• Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions, manipulate the points/streaks system, or exploit bugs for unauthorized access to premium features.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Service in an unauthorized manner.
• Distribute, sublicense, or resell access to the Service or any part thereof.
• Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, code, design, branding, logos, sound profiles, voice synthesis algorithms, and visual assets of UmmeedCare are the intellectual property of UmmeedLabs. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with your subscription plan.

The synthesizer chime audio profiles (Zenith Chime, Echo Forest, Aura Glow, Crystal Dawn, Solar Pulse, Night Whisper, Celestial Wave, Royal Harmony) are original compositions generated programmatically and are copyrighted by UmmeedLabs.

10. Limitation of Liability

Specifically, UmmeedLabs is not liable for:

• Data loss resulting from browser cache clearing, device failure, or browser updates that affect localStorage/IndexedDB.
• Missed alarms due to browser tab being closed, device being in Do Not Disturb mode, or browser notification permissions being denied.
• Payment disputes — all billing issues should be directed to Paddle.com as the Merchant of Record.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

• You violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use policy.
• You engage in fraudulent activity related to subscriptions or payments.
• We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority.

Upon termination by us, any active paid subscription will be cancelled, and you may be entitled to a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period, at our discretion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which UmmeedLabs operates. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the applicable arbitration authority.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we will provide at least 30 days' notice through the application or via email.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
