Welcome to UmmeedCare ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by UmmeedLabs. UmmeedCare is a local-first family coordination and productivity application available at ummeedcare.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using UmmeedCare, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Our Local-First Architecture

This means:

• Your routine schedules, alarms, and chime preferences remain on your device.
• Mood logs, sleep hours, and biometric data are never transmitted to any server.
• Streak progress, gamification points, and theme vault unlocks are maintained in your browser storage.
• If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your locally stored data will be permanently lost unless you have exported it via CSV or PDF.

3. Information We Do Collect

While UmmeedCare is local-first, certain minimal data interactions occur:

3.1 Google OAuth Authentication

When you sign in using Google OAuth 2.0, we receive your Google account profile information (name, email address, and profile picture URL). This information is used to:

• Identify you within the application for personalization (displaying your name and avatar).
• Associate your subscription status with your account (via Paddle).
• Facilitate dashboard access on return visits.

Your Google OAuth token is processed client-side and is not stored on any external server operated by UmmeedCare. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google service beyond basic profile information.

3.2 Payment Processing via Paddle

When you subscribe to a paid plan, Paddle collects and processes:

• Your payment method details (credit/debit card, PayPal, etc.).
• Billing address and country (for tax calculation and regional compliance).
• Transaction history and invoice records.
• Email address for receipt and subscription management communications.

3.3 Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) with the tracking ID G-T5TCKJCNWY to collect anonymized usage data, including:

• Page views and navigation patterns on the landing page.
• Device type, browser, operating system, and screen resolution.
• Geographic region (country-level, anonymized).
• Session duration and referral source.

Google Analytics does not have access to your locally stored routine data, mood logs, or any personal content within the application dashboard. We use this data solely to improve the landing page experience and understand general usage patterns.

3.4 Country Detection for PPP Pricing

To provide Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) adjusted pricing, we detect your country using publicly available APIs. This detection is done client-side and is cached locally. No personal data is transmitted — only your IP address is used by the third-party API to determine your approximate geographic region.

3.5 Exchange Rate Data

We fetch live exchange rate data from open.er-api.com to convert USD base prices into your local currency. This request is made client-side and contains no personal or identifying information.

UmmeedCare uses the following:

• Google Analytics cookies: _ga and _gid cookies for anonymized analytics. These are first-party cookies set by Google Analytics.
• Paddle cookies: Paddle may set cookies during the checkout process for payment session management.
• localStorage: We use browser localStorage extensively for storing your application settings, theme preferences, streak data, and user profile. This is not a cookie and is never transmitted to any server.

We do not use any advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking scripts beyond Google Analytics.

Because UmmeedCare operates on a local-first model, your data security is inherently tied to the security of your own device and browser. We recommend:

• Using a modern, up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
• Keeping your device's operating system updated.
• Using strong device passwords or biometric locks.
• Regularly exporting your data (CSV/PDF) as backups, since local storage can be cleared by browser cache cleanup.

Our website (ummeedcare.com) is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption to protect data in transit during page loads, authentication, and checkout flows.

UmmeedCare is designed as a routine building and habit tracking tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. All data is stored locally on the user's device. No data is transmitted to our servers.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all user-generated data is stored locally in your browser:

• Retention: Data persists as long as your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB remain intact.
• Deletion: You can delete all data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for ummeedcare.com, or by using the "Reset All Data" option in the application settings.
• Portability: Pro and Elite subscribers can export their data as CSV or PDF files before deletion.

10. International Users & GDPR

UmmeedCare serves users globally. Because we operate on a local-first architecture:

• Your personal data (routines, logs, contacts) is never transferred across borders — it stays on your device.
• Google Analytics data may be processed in the United States by Google LLC.
• Payment data is processed by Paddle in accordance with their GDPR compliance commitments.

For EU/EEA residents, your rights under GDPR include the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and data portability. Since your data is locally stored, you already have complete control over these rights. For analytics opt-out, you can use browser-based tools like the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt-out of the sale of personal information. UmmeedCare does not sell personal information. Your locally stored data is already under your complete control.
